Accommodation
Huntley Ferreira Safari's lodge provides luxury accommodation in the form of thatched chalets and suites set in a rustic African theme with lapa and bar facilities.
Cold and hot running water are available to ensure comfort in the bushveld
Food and Beverages
All meals are catered for and included in the price. In the early mornings before the hunt,
coffee and rusks are served. Cooler boxes are packed with cold drinks, beer, snacks such as
crisps and sweets, sandwiches and biltong (jerky), as per each hunter's preferences.
The preferences are determined beforehand – all hunters have to complete a form listing their allergies, special medication and food and beverage preferences.
Brunch is served at about 11:00 am, but it depends on the hunters themselves. Should a hunt be in progress, for instance, this will be taken into consideration and the respective hunters served afterwards.
Supper is usually prepared over an open fire and enjoyed outside under African night skies, with sounds of nightlife all around you, ensuring a true African experience.
Game Drives:
Game drives are usually organized on the day of arrival to give the hunter a break after
his exhaustive trip.
Hunters then get a glimpse of what can be expected on the first day of their hunt –
they get a chance to evaluate the veld, observe the density of the bush or height of the grass growing on the farm, the occurrence of game and the climate – ensuring a well-prepared hunt.
Night drives can also be arranged and game drives are included in the tariffs charged.
Exclusions:
Indemnity: While every precaution will be taken to ensure the well-being of our clients, Huntley
Ferreira Safari's will not be responsible for any injury, loss or accident for the duration of your
stay. Others: Photo-safaris and country tours are available – prices available on request.
Requirements:
Hunters need to respect CITES regulations – an international agreement regarding trade in
endangered species such as Elephants. Appendix 1 animals (White Rhino, Leopard) require special
import permits from the hunter's country of origin prior to South Africa issuing an export permit
for the trophy. Please check with your local Wildlife Authority prior to your safari for the latest
list of required permits. In the case of Appendix II species (threatened but not endangered), an
export permit will be given. Subsequent to this the hunter's country of residence will grant an
import permit.
